Rev. Dr. J. Nicholas Mager, Jr.



Rev. Nick Mager recently retired from the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, where he served as pastor from 2002 to 2013. His career in ministry has included churches in North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. He has broad ecumenical and interfaith involvement through various ministerial associations with an interest in Jewish-Christian dialogue.

Nick has served on numerous committees in the Eastminster Presbytery, including as Moderator of the Personnel Committee, Moderator of Eastminster Presbytery, and twice served as Commissioner to the General Assembly. He also served as chair of the Ohio Living Council on Spiritual Life and Church Relations and was a member of the Ohio Living Park Vista board of directors.

Nick has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Virginia Military Institute, a Master of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
